Overview:
Baseline out-of-bounds that uses your inbounding big (5) as the primary scoring option on a deep duck-in, with a screen-the-screener action creating a clean perimeter look for your shooter (2).
Why It Works
The initial baseline corner entry disguises the play, while the reversal to the slot sets up 5 for a strong post seal. If that option is denied, the screen-the-screener sequence forces the defense to chase, freeing 2 for a high-percentage three.
Key Teaching Points
3 must sprint to the corner to stretch the defense and keep the inbound safe.
2 must set a hard, physical screen to free 5, then be ready to use 3’s screen.
1 must catch on balance in the slot and be patient with reads.
5 must duck in deep and wide, sealing aggressively for position.
5 inbounds. 3 breaks to the strong-side corner for the entry, 4 cuts hard to the rim, 1 lifts to the left slot, and 2 holds in place.
3 reverses the ball up to 1 in the slot.
2 sets a screen for 5 (the inbounder) to duck deep into the post for the primary option.
If denied, 3 sets a screen for 2 (screen-the-screener), freeing 2 to the wing for a clean catch-and-shoot three.
3 can also slip to the rim if the defense switches
